San Felipe White

Fine White Wine
Vintage: 2001

Variety and Vineyard Location
Created from Chardonnay and Chenin Blanc grapes grown in the Department of Tupungato, Province of Mendoza.

Harvest and Production
The harvest begins in February, when the grapes are carefully collected and carried to the winery. Following the latest vinification techniques, the grapes are cooled and then undergo skin maceration at controlled temperatures (5 C) in stainless steel tanks, extracting the fruity aromas and taste of the grapes. Selected yeasts are then used to affirm the character and aroma of these musts, which ferment at low temperatures, creating a young, fresh and fruity wine. Throughout the entire production process the wine is completely protected from the introduction of oxygen in order to avoid any damaging oxidation. In this manner, it is possible to obtain very clear white wines. Well balanced acidity offers the palate a pleasant sensation of freshness.
