Trumpeter Syrah 2000
Winemaker Notes
The 2000 growing season offered ideal conditions for the cultivation of rich, concentrated fruit in the high altitude wine country of Mendoza. A long, cool summer coupled with a mild harvest season combined to allow the grapes to ripen gradually, reaching their optimum level of maturity.
The 2000 Trumpeter Syrah has a dark ruby-red color with purple tones. The nose is of ripe, raspberry fruit aromas. In the mouth it feels round and soft, with rich strawberry and black raspberry flavors, notes of vanilla and chocolate, and finishing with ripe, sweet tannins.
