Trumpeter Malbec 2000
Winemaker Notes
The 2000 growing season offered ideal conditions for the cultivation of rich, concentrated fruit in the high altitude wine country of Mendoza. A long cool summer coupled with a mild harvest season combined to allow the grapes to ripen gradually, reaching their optimum level of maturity.
The 2000 Trumpeter Malbec has a deep violet color with vibrant shades of red. The nose is full of ripe currant fruit aromas interwoven with accents of tobacco and vanilla. The wine is full-bodied and structured in the mouth, with concentrated stone fruit flavors and soft silky tannins.
