Felipe Rutini Merlot 1997
Winemaker Notes
The 1997 growing season offered ideal climate conditions in the Tupungato Valley. The unique microclimate in our Rutini Vineyard, with its wide thermal amplitude between day and night temperatures, translated into a slow, gradual maturation with the development of rich concentrated fruit flavors and soft sweet tannins.
The 1997 Rutini Reserve Merlot has a deep, dark violet color. The nose is complex but harmonious, with ripe blackberry fruit aromas with integrated notes of toast and vanilla. The palate is soft and enticing with rich black fruit flavors and a long silky finish.
